1974.13.1 - Bedpan Pan, Bed Receptacle, Human Waste

A light brown earthenware bedpan consisting of an angled, shallow bowl with a male urinal spout applied at the front. Clear glaze finish on the interior and exterior.

1982.45.1 - Case, Vanity Case, Comb Case

A vanity case which originally held a mirror, hair brush, comb etc. It is made of a wood support with a celluoid overlay. It has a navy blue base with a raised scroll design. The hinged top is primarily green with a raised scroll design at each end. A large, yellowed image of a young girl in a wide brimmed hat covers the lid. The interior is lined with a pale green fabric.

A cameo brooch, circa 1890. The brooch has a pinkish-white oval-shaped cameo of a woman wearing a headdress. The cameo is white plastic that is painted pink. It is worn in spots. The cameo is mounted on a brass backing. Soldered around the edge is a decorative brass border. The brooch has a steel clasp on the back.

A marmalade jar (.02) and lid (.01) dated circa 1891. The jar (.01) has a hand painted design of three riders on horses in their fox hunting gear with their hounds.
