  2. 2015.29.1.02 - Curtain Curtains

    A pair of red velvet theatre stage curtains (.01 & .02). Gathered along the top edge with a heavy burlap binding. Twenty-four circular brass grommets across top edge. Steel hooks, for hanging, attached at each grommet. Each curtain is composed of four panels of fabric attached by three vertical seams. Hemmed on all sides. A fabric tag sewn into the side hem is machine embroidered with the text "Custom made / By / Duncan-McPhee / Guelph, Ont."

  3. 2015.29.2 - Can, Watering

    Galvanized steel watering can made by General Steel Wares (GSW) of Fergus, dated after 1967. The can is cylindrical, with a flat metal handle across the top of the can and a rounded metal handle on the back of the can. The hole in the top of the watering can is rounded, with one flat side facing the front of the watering can.   4. 2015.29.3 - Chair, Windsor

    Wooden rod-back windsor chair with two stiles, four spindles and a curved slat crest rail. The chair has a flat seat and four splayed legs. There are two stretchers between the two front legs, and between the front and back legs on each side. There is only one stretcher between the two back legs. The text "PALMERSTON / TOWN / COUNCIL" is painted (stencilled) on the underside of the chair seat. Photographed with 2015.29.4.

  6. 2015.29.5 - Ladder

    Stepladder with silver-coloured metal frame and wood steps. The ladder has two wooden steps with grooves and a smooth wooden top shelf/step made from two pieces of wood. There are three pairs of legs, two pairs hold the steps at the front of the stool and one pair forms the back of the stool. The legs have black plastic feet and two of the legs have metal cross-braces between the right and left legs.

  7. 2015.29.6 - Seat, Theatre

    Pair of hinged wooden and cast iron theatre seats. Underneath the seat is a wire holder in which the occupant could store his hat. The seats are joined together, side by side, sharing a common leg. The seat on the right is seat number 20, the seat on the left is seat number 18.

  8. 2015.29.7 - Grate, Register Medallion, Ceiling Ornament, Ceiling

    Large, circular, cast iron ceiling ornament; slightly concave in shape; three concentric circles at middle surrounded by an open pattern of leaves and scrollwork; wide solid outer rim with six screw nail holes for mounting to ceiling. Front side painted deep gold; rear is unpainted.
