   Knitting sheath or stick made of carved wood and painted gold. Goose wing shaped blade made to fit over the curve of the users' hip. There is a shaft with a brass lined hole (6.5cm) to hold the knitting needle which is attached to the blade. The blade is carved in a geometric design with "M.EDMONDSON / BOLTON 1854" carved on the flat surface.
