    A cast plaster, rectangular, memorial plaque, depicting the crest of the 153rd Battalion, flanked by two flags, with an inserted oval photograph of Private Lloyd Walter Young (1894 - 1918) at the bottom middle. Painted in a brown metallic finish. Flags painted red, blue and white. Note: The original photo was removed and accessioned into the Archives (A2012.5 ph36846). A retouched digital copy print was installed in the plaque.

    A World War I bronze memorial plaque, commonly known as a "Dead Man's Penny". On the front is a relief image of Britannia holding a wreath next to the name - Lloyd Young. In relief around the perimeter "He Died For Freedom and Honour".

    A Memorial Cross, in shape of a Maltese Cross, (.01) inscribed "Pte. Lloyd Walter Young" and his Regimental # (153rd Battalion). The cross has a ribbon (.02). The case (2011.61.3.03) is stored separately. It is dated 1919.

    A hinged metal storage case (.03) for a WWI Memorial Cross. The exterior is covered with an embossed black paper, imitating black leather. A gold crown is printed on the lid. The interior of the lid is lined with an off-white fabric stretched over a cardboard frame. The interior of the base is lined with an off-white paper, over which a padded velvet pillow sits.
