These were some of the carpenters tools belonging to Petherick Bunt (1805-1881), of Yeovill, Somerset, England. He came to Canada in 1839, settling in Vaughan Township, York County. In 1848 he moved to Wellington County and settled in Peel Township, near Alma, Concession 9, Lot 16 South. He did carpentry work in first Methodist Church in Bloombury. He used these tools in the carpenter's trade through out his life, most of those years in this area. The donors were his grandchildren.
