Description |
A very fine lawn cotton day cap dated circa 1910-1915. The white cap has pink blanket stitches. It has machine-made lace added around the front. A band of pink silk ribbon is sewn to the front and is laced through double sets of eyelets at the back which are trimmed in pink blanket stitches. The crown is embroidered in long-and-short stitched pink and green buds. |

The cap was made by one of the three Maitland sisters: Marion, Jean or Alison. Alison (1898-1991) graduated from the Toronto General Hospital in 1925. |
