Description |
A pair of woman's white cotton drawers. There are side button openings and two pleats in the front for fullness. The bias cut flared flounce has an insert of eyelet above it and eyelet edging below it. Scalloped border. |
Provenance |
Property of the donor's mother, Mrs. Edith Jane Wallace (McDermaid) who lived in Teviotdale and married in 1924. Edith moved to Fergus in 1944 and lived there until her death in 1976. These drawers are believed to have been preserved by Edith but belonged originally to either her mother, Isabella McDermaid (Blair, d. 1944) or her grandmother Mrs. Blair (Hood d. 1895). |
