    A man's black wool gaberdine morning coat with black silk lining. Narrow lapels and three covered buttons down the front. Long sleeves with two covered buttons at the end of each sleeve.     A black wool cape decorated with braided trim. There is an upstanding collar of black pleated silk with black lace overlay and braided trim with grosgrain ribbon in front. The front of the cape is fastened with four sets of hooks and eyes and there is a braid swirl trim down the front, across the shoulders and along the bottom. The cape is lined with black silk.

    A black cotton tucked shirtwaist circa 1900. There is a partially detachable tucked high-necked collar that is attached with hooks and eyes. There are eight tucks across the front with one large centre tuck and four covered buttons with five black buttons underneath. There are six sets of five rows of tucks around the sleeves. French back yoke and pleat in the center back. There are three hooks and two long cords at the back of the shirtwaist.

    Quilt with pattern resembling the arms of a windmill. Alternate colour blocks, white border and orange scallop binding. The orange colour in the quilt was thought to come form from carrot dye, but dyers tell us that carrots were not used for dyeing. The orange is a chemical dye.
