Description |
A baby bonnet made of white cotton dated during 1880-1900. The bonnet has a circular embroidered inset. On the back it has Ayershire embroidery. The bonnet has three rows with white cotton drawstrings near the brim. It has a double row of ruching on the brim and along the back. |

Provenance |
The bonnet belonged to the donors' family. The donors were daughters of Lazarus Parkinson Jr. and Jane Tolton. In 1881, Lazarus, Jane and family moved to Bruce County and farmed there. They returned to Eramosa Township in 1904 and farmed 200 acres at Lot 15, Concession 1 and 2. Their children were Eleanor, Marion, Hannah, Henry and Stanley. |
