A pair of woman's white cotton drawers. There are two panels joined at the center seam shaped to a narrow curved facing. Single button fastening at the sides. There is a box pleat at the center front, a flair flounce and an eyelet insert.The drawers are edged with eyelet and have a scalloped edge. |

Property of the donor's mother, Mrs. Edith Jane Wallace (McDermaid) who lived in Teviotdale and married in 1924. Edith moved to Fergus in 1944 and lived there until her death in 1976. These drawers are believed to have been preserved by Edith but belonged originally to either her mother, Isabella McDermaid (Blair, d. 1944) or her grandmother Mrs. Blair (Hood d. 1895). |
