Description |
Two oval wooden plaques on which are mounted a male brown trout (protruding lower jaw) (.01) and a female brown trout (.02) dated 1961. Each fish was stuffed with plaster and inside its mouth was finished with wax. The sides were touched up with red and black spots to simulate the fishes' original colouring. |

The male was caught by the donor below the Tooth of Time in Elora. The female was caught by the donor above the high bridge in the park in Elora. The donor said the river had been stocked ten years earlier but in the 1970s no one thought there was any brown trout left. They spawned at Swan Creek at Inverhaugh. |
