Box From the Union Bank of Canada, Hillsburgh - This was the first bank in Hillsburgh and it was a private bank. It was located where the Post Office is now situated, and was owned by Alexander Richardson of Grand Valley. The Bank was sold in 1905 but kept its name and was moved to the main street (Hwy 25). It later became known as the Royal Bank of Canada. |
