    Wooden pump sucker made from wood. The pump is bullet-shaped. Pieces cut from the sides. There is a hole at the top and a hole lengthways. There is an arch-like opening sideways. Circa 1900, never been used.

    A hand sewn Crazy Quilt composed of silks, satins and velvets, during 1910-1920. The fabric is pieced by hand into 26 cm squared blocks which are sewn together by machine. There are four rows of four blocks. The back of the quilt is quilted by machine in small squares bisected by diagonal lines. The quilt is constructed from silk (even the velvet is silk).     A circular glass souvenir dish (.01) with removeable lid (.02). Dish is made of transparent glass with a ribbed design around the body. Four small legs. Lid is painted a cranberry colour on top and trimmed with a gilded edge. Silver painted inscription reads "Souvenir of Hillsburg, Ont."

    Rectangular linoleum or 'congoleum' kitchen flooring, size nine feet by twelve feet. A central beige pattern with a repeating four-spoked motif surrounded by a bolder border of white and purple pansies with green, red and black embellishments. Dated 1920s.

    Rectangular quilted wall hanging with twelve square blocks, four in each row. Each square block is trimmed in blue with yellow and blue sashing around the whole quilt. The background of each block is white. The name of each Women's Institute Branch is hand-stitched in blue embroidery thread on each block. The image chosen for each block represents the community of each branch.
