Provenance |
The figurine kitten was collected by the donor's mother, Mildred (Munch) Clark of Morriston, Puslinch Twp. She collected figurines from the Red Rose tea boxes. Mildred (Munch) Clark married Ben Clark in 1947 and together they had two children: the donor (b. 1947) and John Clark (b. 1952). Ben Clark grew up at Lots 29/30, Conc. 8 (rear) and when he and Mildred married they moved in with Mildred's mother, Harriet (Atkinson) Munch. Harriet and her husband Harry Munch (died 1929) had bought the farm in 1920 at Lot 30, Conc. 9 (front), Puslinch Twp. near Badenoch. It was here that, Mildred's daughter, the donor (b. 1947), lived for her first five years. In 1952, the Clarks moved into Morriston, Puslinch Twp. and remained there. |
