A pair of woman's white cotton muslin drawers. There are two panels gathered at the waistband, no center seam and a single button fastening. Short flounce of lawn with five rows of pin tucks, edged with machine made lace. |

Property of the donor's mother, Mrs. Edith Jane Wallace (McDermaid) who lived in Teviotdale and married in 1924. Edith moved to Fergus in 1944 and lived there until her death in 1976. These drawers are believed to have been preserved by Edith but belonged originally to either her mother, Isabella McDermaid (Blair, d. 1944) or her grandmother Mrs. Blair (Hood d. 1895). |
