Description |
Silver-plated trophy consisting of a shallow circular cup with a pedestal base; delicate handle on each side of cup. Front side of cup is engraved "Wellington County / J.F.I.A. / Public Speaking Contest / Boys"; rear side engraved "Presented by / W. E. Raney / Att'y Gen'l. [Attorney General] 1919 - 1923". The cup screws onto a circular tiered wooden base with a painted black finish. Six small shield-shaped nameplates, engraved with the annual winner, are mounted to the base; each with two small nails. |

The trophy is from the Junior Farmers (International Association?). The nameplates indicate that it was won by the following: Fergus, 1924; Arkell, 1925 & 1926; Mt. Pleasant, 1927 & 1929, and Aberfoyle in 1928. |
