Lieutenant-Colonel Robert Thomas Pritchard of Elora was commanding officer of the 153rd Overseas Battalion, Canadian Expeditionary Force from April 1916. He served in France during World War I (the 153rd was split up and added to different battalions.) He enlisted as a Private in 1893 in Fergus. Lieutenant 1896 and Captain 1904. Elected to Nichol Twp. Council in 1905, Reeve in 1907, Warden 1910. Lieutenant Colonel in 1916. |
