Janet Dingwall Fordyce (1819-1873) was born in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, to Alexander Dingwall Fordyce (1786-1852) and Magdalena Dingwall (1786-1846). She emigrated to Canada with her family around 1834, settling in Nichol Township near Fergus, Ontario. In 1840 she married Alexander Drysdale in Fergus, and they lived in nearby West Garafraxa Township where they raised a large family. Janet Dingwall Drysdale died in Scotland in 1873. |
