Provenance |
In the 1890s, Udney leased the Elora Mill and bought it in 1907. Since the flour market had died by 1900, the mill became a chopping mill for cattle feed and the storage building became a planing mill. Udney employed six hands and died in 1943. In 1944, his estate was sold to Drimmie. The apron came to be the property of Clara Brodey (Mrs. Thomas Geoffrey) who was a friend of the donor. |
