William Golightly (1898-1971), negatives, G-M, 1939-1955. |
Date |
1939-1955 |
Description |
Golightly negatives, G-M: The over 600 negative envelopes have been organized in the manner found. Most envelopes had already been given a letter of the alphabet, followed by a number - for example A-1, A-2, A-3; at the end of each section are numbers assigned by the cataloguer - for example B-?1, B-?2, B-?3. Some envelopes were not included, though their contents were listed on the alphabet cards at the end of each section. Negatives are 10 x 12.5 cm. William Golightly (1898-1971) was staff photographer at Beatty Bros.; he retired in 1961 or 1962 with 35 years service. He also took photographs of weddings, children and family groups, and his pictures appeared in the Fergus News-Record. He was active in the Fergus Camera Club. - NA 6054: [G-32] Gauley, Mrs. - NA 6055: [G-6] Gauley, Mrs. - Gov't Insp., 27 June 1944. - NA 6056: [G-29] Gauley, Mrs. - passport. - NA 6057: [G-26] Gauley - passport. - NA 6058: [G-22] Gear, Jack and Giles - NA 6059: [G-2] Gibbs, Bill, 15 March 1941. - NA 6060: [G-4] Gibson, Bill - children - NA 6061: [G-11] Gibson, Doug - R.C.O.C., Feb. 1943. - NA 6062: [G-24] Gibson. - NA 6063: [G-14] Glover, R. - child, Nov. 1944 - NA 6064: [G-10] Glover, Robt. - NA 6065: [G-19] Golightly, Alan and Jim, at farm, Labour Weekend, 4 Sept. 1945. - NA 6066: [G-27b] Golightly - banty hen and chicks. - NA 6067: [G-?1] Golightly, Bill - NA 6068: [G-15] Golightly, Bill and Geo.
