Beatty Brothers, printed materials and photographs, Fergus, 1921-1989. SERIES 1: PRINTED MATERIALS, 1921-1989. File 1: Scrapbook, 1921-1935. [ MU 1148 o/s] Scrapbook of newspaper advertisements and articles, 1925 - 1935. From information on p.94 and 95, it appears the scrapbook was kept by Joe Carter. Pages are numbered 1 - 236, at the bottom of the page, upside down and in reverse order. On cover: "Free Advertising 1 Sept. 1925 to 31 Aug. 1935." In another hand: "Paul Shoemaker / Kipplnng SASK." [Kipling, Saskatchewan] The pages contain newspaper clippings of "free advertising" - sketches of new products, portraits of sales staff appointments, Beatty Bros. [Beatty Brothers] publicity releases. Reproductions of paid advertisements are also included, for example for pumps, or the BT Barn Book. In most cases the date and publication are added by hand.
