2017.34.1 - Tiara

Metal tiara with curved band, rhinestone decoration and two off-white plastic comb clips at either end of band. The rhinestones are affixed along the band and in a front decoration composed of multiple pointed ovals. The combs are oriented with the teeth downward to anchor the tiara in the hair of the wearer.

Puslinch Guelph 4-H Calf Club trophy for "Best Beef Heifer". The trophy is made of wood with metal plaques and decorations. The topper is a calf. The base is rectangular, with eleven shield-shaped plaques adhered around the front and sides, engraved with dates and names of past winners. Silver loving cup-style trophy on wooden base. The base is made of wood that has been painted black. The base is hexagonal, rising with straight sides, then narrowing to a cylindrical form which supports the loving cup. A plaque affixed to the base is engraved "Aberfoyle Fair / 1922 / Won by / Mr. Carl Ross / for Best Agricultural Team" and the loving up bears the name and logo for the Canadian Bank of Commerce.

Trophy presented by the Hamilton-Wentworth Old Tyme Fiddlers' Association for the Aberfoyle Fiddle Contest, sixty-five and over class champions. This trophy is named the Stanley H. Mary McPherson Memorial Trophy consisting of a wooden base (.02) and a clear glass vase topper (.01). The base (.02) is hexagonal and stained a reddish-brown. It reads "Mary McPherson / Memorial Trophy / Most Points in Horticulture / Presented to the / Aberfoyle Agricultural Society / By the McConnell family." The transparent glass vase (.01) has a circular base, a flaring top, and diamond motifs.
