1999.16.1 - Quilt, Signature Quilt, Autograph

White cotton Signature Quilt with circles of red cotton appliqued to the quilt dated to 1927. Around each of the circles are embroidered in red the names of people. In the centre of each red circle is a name embroidered in red. In the centre of the quilt is embroidered "Sunbeam Class / Shand's S. S." The quilt has a red border.

2004.28.1 - Quilt, Signature Quilt, Autograph

A red embroidered Signature Quilt on a white background dated to 1939. The quilt has thirty red-embroidered flower shapes. Each flower has a name embroidered in the centre, with a name on each of the eight petals for a total of 270 names. The names appear to be embroidered by the same person. It is hand-quilted in white around each flower and it is quilted with slightly smaller flower shapes, on the white backing, between the flowers. Embroidered...

2012.41.1 - Chair, Slat-Back

A wooden slat-back chair painted with a green finish. The chair was made with three back rails that are slightly curved and two rear posts. The front legs match the back. The original paint finish was beige. The seat was constructed out of four heavy woven fabric strips interwoven and covered with a decorative upholstered piece of fabric in a floral print.

2012.41.2.02 - Canner Kettle, Preserving

An oval shaped copper preserving kettle or canner (.02) with a removable lid (.01). There is a welded metal seam down one side of the kettle (.02). Attached to each side are bolted metal brackets with a wooden turned handle. In the centre of the kettle is a stamped indentation. The top of the lid has a raised, turned wooden handle.
