Black leather sewing kit; square in shape with flap closure; two black snaps. Tooled in gold on front flap: "One Darned Thing After Another". Contains six shallow pockets holding cardboard mounts with different colours of "Rayarn Artificial Silk" thread (.01 - .06).

1998.9.4.056 - Game, Card

"War of Words or Logomathy" card game consisting of fifty-six cards (.01-.056), circa 1903-1910. The back of the card is pink while the face of the card has a black and white illustration of a crane, a black decorative border and a letter of the alphabet on the top. The letter "Z" card (.056) has, in black letters, "Double prize/ War of Words" with a picture of a female.

1998.9.6 - Bonnet, Indoor Bonnet, Woman's Hat, Woman's

A very fine lawn cotton day cap dated circa 1910-1915. The white cap has pink blanket stitches. It has machine-made lace added around the front. A band of pink silk ribbon is sewn to the front and is laced through double sets of eyelets at the back which are trimmed in pink blanket stitches. The crown is embroidered in long-and-short stitched pink and green buds.
