1988.40.1 - Suit, Bathing Swimsuit

A woman's black wool bathing suit. It has a skirt. The back is rounded and also lowered. There are two yellow diamond motifs appliqu‚d on.

A handmade, dark green wool apron with a bib and straps. The apron skirt is rectangular in shape and tapers to a point at the bottom middle. The skirt is trimmed with wide brown lace and embellished with floral embroidery in many colours: yellow, blue, green, orange, cream and red. Narrow black silk waistband.

Small square patch with green background and gold trim. In the middle is the image of a red apple with a gold fleur-de-lis in the middle and gold stem. Gold text along the top and bottom reads "1983" (top) and "apple day" (bottom). The back is covered with white stitching and fabric.

Circular patch with blue and orange background and gold stitched trim. The bottom half of the background is stitch in royal blue with the images of evergreen trees, with orange on the top half. Royal blue text going around the top of patch reads "1st Creekbank-Alma Scouting", gold text in the middle reads "50 years" and orange text along the bottom reads "1947-1997". The back is covered with a thin, flexible plastic.

The statue is the image of a Boy Scout in full uniform (including hat, kerchief and backpack) with one foot up on a rock holding a stick in the air with one hand and his hat in the other.
