1982.58.1 - Cape, Woman

Woman's furlined, blackwool cape, dark brown fur trim and collar; dark, light brown and beige fur lining. Hook-and-eye (front) closures; two small and one large pocket on inside; lining is made of many small pelts sewn together.

1982.58.2.02 - Coat Cape

A child's three piece winter set. It consists of a coat (.01), a cape (.02) and a bonnet (.03) of an off-white bear cloth (the donor's description of the material), circa 1912. There are four buttons down the front of the coat (.01). A cream-satin ribbon ties the cape (.02) at the front neck. All three pieces are lined and are hand sewn.

A child's winter bonnet (.03) with a wide brim that extends the full length of the bonnet. It is made of an off-white imitation fur or 'bear cloth' (the donor's description of the material), circa 1912. Part of a three-piece winter set consisting of a coat (.01), a cape (.02) and a bonnet (.03). The bonnet is stored separately from the coat and cape.
