    Floor model treadle sewing machine dated circa 1870. Wooden table top with a drop leaf extension on the left side. Decorative black cast iron metal legs and square foot pedal; cast in raised letters on pedal is "Fergus Mfg. Co.". Black metal sewing machine is inscribed: "Barclay". Includes bobbin winder.

    A pair of man's heavy grey wool homespun trousers, circa 1820-1850. The pants have grey and white stripes. The fly has three buttons with a fold up flap.

    A satchel or doctor's bag made of black leather. One side has a wide pocket with a flap. Fasteners have been broken off. The handle is metal and there is also a metal lock.

  7. 1954.42.8 - Teapot

    Silver metal teapot, "Sheffield Britannic Ware". Four feet moulded to the bottom (one is broken). Leaf and flower on top of lid. The pot, lid, handle, spout and legs are all styled after late Georgian "melon" pattern that was in vogue into the 1840s. One difference is the way the handle is fastened to the neck rather than the rim. This appears to have been a later innovation.

    A bouquet of "flowers" handmade from human hair. The memorabilia bouquet is set within a white and gold ceramic vase and displayed within a bell-jar style case consisting of a circular wooden base with four small feet, painted black. Red plush trim and clear glass dome (cracked).

    A pair of woman's white cotton drawers with a closed crotch. It has a wide waistband with a side closure and a button. The ends of the leggings are embroidered with vertical and horizontal bands of pin tucking. Also a vertical and horizontal band of eyelet embroidery filled with tatted centres and floral and eyelet embroidery above the scalloped hem, decorate the bottom of the legs.

Two-button front closing, the buttons are hidden by a placket of machinemade lace.
