1954.42.8 - Teapot
Silver metal teapot, "Sheffield Britannic Ware". Four feet moulded to the bottom (one is broken). Leaf and flower on top of lid. The pot, lid, handle, spout and legs are all styled after late Georgian "melon" pattern that was in vogue into the 1840s. One difference is the way the handle is fastened to the neck rather than the rim. This appears to have been a later innovation.

A pair of woman's white cotton drawers with a closed crotch. It has a wide waistband with a side closure and a button. The ends of the leggings are embroidered with vertical and horizontal bands of pin tucking. Also a vertical and horizontal band of eyelet embroidery filled with tatted centres and floral and eyelet embroidery above the scalloped hem, decorate the bottom of the legs.
