Inez Evelyn Thompson (1913-1993) was born in Toronto to teacher John Fletcher Thompson and Myrtle Mary Burse. In the 1940s through 1960s she lived and worked in Streetsville, Ontario, as a commercial artist. She moved to Hillsburgh in 1970, and to Erin Township in the early 1980s. She is buried in the family plot at Toronto's Mount Pleasant Cemetery. On 24 May 2013, Laurel Parsons posted on boards.ancestry.ca the following reminiscence, "My father, Fred Thompson, was Inez's cousin, and I was taken to her home occasionally as a child when we visited her in her studio. She was a lovely, quiet, hospitable lady who was a gifted artist." |
