Part 1 of 2: Newman land records were generated in the office of Walter Perkins Newman, 1819-1881, Elora, Ontario. Newman served as land conveyancer, insurance agent, accountant, municipal clerk, and private banker (Farmer's Bank). The record collection covers 1844 to 1902. Mr. Newman's business was continued by W. W. Farran and James Archibald, Elora from 1881-1900. This collection also includes records from the private banking firm of Farran and Archibald, Elora, Ontario.
