Elora photographs and printed materials, ca.1865-2013. The materials listed below were collected by the Waind family of Elora, and consist of photographs, postcards, albums and Elora High School yearbooks. SERIES 1: PHOTOS, LOOSE, ca.1865-2013. The front and back of most prints have been digitally scanned and saved to disk; usually, only the front image has been linked to this record. Includes 30 prints, some taken in Elora Gorge, identified as Mrs. McGowan, Sarah, Grace, Jessie, and Bill Jones, Aboyne. Sara McGowan (1887-1962), Grace McGowan (1891-1975), Jessie McGowan (1896-1990) and Jane (called Jean) McGowan (1894-1982), were daughters of John and Margaret McGowan of Peel Township. The family later moved to Elora, where Jean married mill-owner Timothy Clark Wardley (1893-1947) in 1916.
