| Description | Photographs and documents from Lila Thompson of Toronto. Lila Rosetta Howes was born 04 July 1896 to Bertram Lewis Howse (1863-1935) and Henrietta "Etta" Morley (1868-1914), who farmed at Ponsonby in Pilkington Township. Due to her mother's ill health, Lila's parents moved to Paisley Street in Guelph, where her father found employment with the Bell Organ Company. Lila received her higher education in Toronto where she worked as a schoolteacher. She married Toronto chemist Rudolph Edwin Thompson on 03 Oct. 1921, and died in Scarborough, Ontario, 23 Oct. 1987. Cooper, Emma Cooper, F.A. Cull, Allie Eaton, Edith Eaton, Mary Hastings, Gerty Hewer, Emma Lendon, Louie Lendon at Hamilton, J. McCusker, Edith Morley at Guelph, S.B. Naismith, Florence Present[?], and Nora Walls. Possibly belonged to Ethel Heather who was born in Guelph in 1881. - item 2: Declaration made by Edward John Howse,14 Feb. 1921; he attests to the date of birth of his younger brother, Bertram Lewis Howse of Guelph, who was born in Pilkington Township on 28 Oct. 1865; 1 sheet; from envelope addressed to Mrs. A. A. Outram of Toronto from the Canadian Welfare Council in Ottawa. - items 3: Envelope addressed to "B.L.
