Records relating to the life of Lyle Jackson (1903-1978), his older brother William Jackson (1899-1970) and younger sister Erie Jackson (born 1901): In 1893, Robert Jackson (1857-1937), blacksmith of Conn, West Luther Twp., married Henrietta Margaret Rydall (1872-1957). Their three children were William (1899-1970), Lyle (1903-1978) and daughter Erie (born 1901). In 1929, William married Zena Turner (1898-1972). In 1934, Lyle married Jeanette Lyon (date-date). He studied auctioneering and his first licence was issued 1927; he continued in this field, moving to Mount Forest in 1932. In 1936, with his brother William, Lyle moved to Listowel and together they opened L. & W. Jackson Motors, sometimes referred to as Jackson Bros. By the mid-1940s, Lyle was breeding, raising and shipping horses from a hobby farm near Listowel. Erie Jackson served in the miltary during WW II. SERIES 1: LYLE JACKSON (1903-1978), ca.1926-ca.1940.
