  8. 1995.17.1.02 - Firearm Gun Handgun Pistol

    A pair of percussion cap duelling pistols. They have octagonal-shaped steel barrels with an inlayed gold strip and the maker's name on top. They are decorated with a floral engraving around the lock. The wooden stock of each gun is cross-hatched and have a silver mounting. The stock on both is cracked. There is a belt clip on each. The hammers are shaped to resemble a creature, possibly a fish. (.01) has a broken hammer and is missing the trigger...

    A flintlock pistol (.01) with a broken cock and a removable steel barrel extension (.02). Curved wooden stock and floral engraving on one side of lock and barrel and the manufacturer's name on the other side.

    Two steel stirrups designed with a bent spring that would release the rider's foot if thrown by the horse to prevent being dragged. Each stirrup has a serrated foot-rest and an arched framework with a loop at the top to attach to a saddle strap.

  20. 1998.28.19 - Badge, Military Title, Shoulder Badge, Insignia

    A brass military badge with a split pin for the 4th Divisional Cyclists, 1915-1916. The shape of the badge has "Cyclist" in cut-out letters. The brass split pin is hooked onto the metal loops soldered onto the badge. On the back of the pin is the maker's marks.
