Where a digital copy had also been made of the textual message, photocopies of the textual sides are filed with the digital print outs of the images. Photographer and publisher unidentified unless otherwise noted. File 1: Alma, Ontario, 1903-1908. - ph 48446: Men and boys posed outside a shop with wooden long façade and small porch, 1903. Sent to Miss Winnie Sawyers of Erin, Ontario, from "L" of Alma with note "This is the place where I put in my time…". Postmarked Erin, 13 July 1903. - ph 48447: Grand Trunk Railway train wreck in Huron County, 1908, seen from far side of washed out track and river. Sent to Earl A. Crich of Hartney, Manitoba, from his sibling "C.C.", with note, "This is a picture of the wash out on the G.T.R. half way to Clinton. Beatrice and I walked up Sunday morning. You can see the engine in the Ditch and the cars all off the track". Postmarked Seaforth, 31 March 1908. Inscribed in a different had at top of postcard, "WTN ALMA, ONTARIO". Church Steeple in background. Originally built by Peter Grieves as the Ontario House Hotel in the early 1870s, it was rechristened the Arlington Hotel after extensive renovations by new owner E.J. O'Callaghan in the 1890s. It was later repurposed under different ownership and the building burned down on 10 April 1932. - ph 48451: Aerial view looking down George Street, Arthur, from a rooftop, ca. 1910. Checkmark inscribed over building on right side of street. Men working in ditch at right, likely engaged in sewer or watermain work. Dusting of snow on mounds of dirt beside ditch. Sent to Miss Ellen Krauter of Heidelberg, Ontario, from "Lillian", re. correspondence, visiting at Christmas, that the picture on the card "represents a good place Ha! Ha!", and a note that the checkmark "is Post Office where I work". - ph 48453: Streetscape of children standing on the sidewalk on the corner of the German Evangelical Church, which may have been at the corner of John and Clarke Streets in Clifford, 1911. The church was built in 1900, and in 1946 its name changed to the Evangelical United Brethren, then in 1968 joined the United Church of Canada. It was demolished before 2016. Other sleighs or cutters on street, and pedestrians in front of Drayton Town Hall in background. Two shop signs visible, one for Massey Harris, the other, near the town hall is only partially visible and reads "…ck's / …Goods / [Statio]nary / …Paper". Sent to Frederick D. Herr of Denver, Colorado from "Clara", and postmarked Drayton, 30 March 1908. She explains, "Here is a view on Wellington Street in our town. The corner store is a drug [store], then follow a shoe store, restaurant, implements, then a butcher shop. You will notice our town hall.
